dancing in their Easter dresses
I took a short video of the girls dancing to their High School Musical Soundtrack. Check out Ashley talking and dancing with Zoe! I'm going to type all the talking during the video, in case it's hard to
understand them:
understand them:
Ashley: This is fun! It is SO Fun!
Ashley: Look at I made this Mommy! Look, look!
Me: That's great!
Ashley: That's great?
Ashley: Mommy, (I'm) dancing!
Ashley: Look. Can I hold it? Can I hold it?
Me: Yea.
Ashley: Look, I made this. Mommy look. Please read it, Mommy. (read the card)
Ashley: It's for us. It's for us. (the cards and dresses are for Zoe and Ashley)
Zoe: Okay... (now she's borred of dancing... haha)
Have a Happy Easter! Love, Kelly

a book and connect-the-dots

Zoe, Ashley, and I are really enjoying a pack of Kumon workbooks that we got at Costco. The connect-the-dots are fun because the kids really can't tell what the picture will become until they've almost reached the number, 100.
Like featuring photos here on the family blog, the videos made by Zoe have proven to be a huge motivation. Everything we've been posting and sharing is extremely exciting for the girls. They are so proud of what they can do, and then they get to talk to family from out of town who have seen their "work." Speaking of which, Zoe is very anxious for me to stop writing and publish this so she can admire it. :-) Love, Kelly

Zoe and Ashley playing school
Zoe and Ashley are absolutely thrilled about this new concept of creating videos of Zoe playing school. Zoe sees herself as "the teacher" and the audience viewing the video are her students. In this video she is reading her class a story from Time4Learning. Then, through watching her own video she feels proud and it reinforces what she can do. Ashley sits beside her listening, watching and encouraging Zoe.

Zoe's dance class performance =)
Zoe is on the far left, grey hoodie, light pick cap.
Also, you may notice, she was the youngest in her class.
Proud mama =)

video of dinner chat
Now that we realized we can video using our camera, we are anxious for everyone to see how much Ashley has improved with her biomedical treatments. Of course, it's hard to get on video, but we're going to try! Here they are at dinner tonight: "mac-n-cheese" otherwise called, Tinkyada noodles with cashew cream sauce :-) As you will see, Ashley thinks that she is having her picture taken, since Andy is using the camera to video her. Although we didn't get much talking in this one, it's pretty impressive that she shows she now can ask questions and answer questions. She's totally present and interacting with us. Go Ashley!

first video using our camera
Here is some video of the girls in the "summer snow." Don't worry at the end -Ashley isn't opening anything but a container of her chewable enzymes :-) She wont even eat them unless I grind them and mix them with food. She just says, "It smells good."
